Things to Do
What to do and see in and around north Bali including Lovina, Permuteran and Menjangan.

You might like to include some of these on your trip to or from north Bali and elsewhere such as Ubud

Dolphin Tours
There are a number of ethical tour operators near Lovina who don't chase the dolphins or join large groups of boats. Let me know and I will recomend the perfect boat and guide for you.

Beaches
North Bali has safe, quiet, and easily accessible beaches. These are perfect for families plus there are usually cheap local warungs for food and drinks. Ganesha Beach in Lovina is particularly good.

Snorkelling & Scuba
You can easily snorkel right off the beach in Lovina, or head to Permuteran to see the offshore sculptures. Menganjan has some amazing coral reefs easily accessible by boat.

Waterfalls
Banyumala, Gitgit, Sekumpul and Fiji Waterfalls are the most beautiful waterfalls in northern Bali. About one hour east of Lovina and hidden in the rainforest mountains you will find untouched nature.

Banjar Hot Springs
The Holy Hot Springs or 'Air Panas' are found in a beautiful tropical garden - around 20 minutes from Lovina. The sulfurous water in the three picturesque basins is of volcanic origin and has a pleasant warm temperature of 35 - 39 degrees C.

See the Deer in Menganjan
Menjangan Island is a part of West Bali National Park, a natural sanctuary that preserves the untouched side of Bali. Try one of the many walking trails in the area, or take a boat to Menjangan Island.

Brahma Vihara Arana
This is Bali’s only Buddhist monastery and the largest Buddhist temple on the island.
You’re welcome to visit or to stay a while and enjoy a meditation retreat (for a small donation). It’s a very calming place.

Munduk and Jatiluwih
On the way to or from Lovina, you might like a tour through the Unesco heritage rice fields of Jatiluwih, and the cool mountain air of Munduk. Take in the views, visit a coffee plantation or hike to a waterfall!
